Learn How to Fight (The Confidence Most Men Never Build)

It's not so you can go out and start trouble or look like a bad-ass, but so you can carry a silent assurance that just about everyone finds attractive and compelling.

Learn how to fight and defend yourself — building real confidence through training

One of the quickest ways to add confidence and boldness is to learn how to fight. Not so you can go out and start trouble or look like a bad-ass, but so you can carry a silent assurance that just about everyone finds attractive and compelling. Furthermore, you can defend yourself if need be and know that you can handle yourself around others.

  • It’s about empowering yourself and knowing that you can depend on yourself if the need arises.

  • It’s about being able to stick up for and defend the weak. Obviously, you need to choose your battles wisely.

  • Learning how to fight in and of itself, if you take it seriously, will get you into amazing shape. Take the movie Fight Club, for example. If you train like a fighter, you’ll look like a fighter.

  • Both men and women are not turned off by a guy who knows how to fight, so that is far less downside to worry about.

  • There tends to be a team aspect in most kinds of training, even boxing or kickboxing.

  • It’s easy to find group training classes, and these are really good ways to network and meet like-minded people.

  • Once you’ve learned to fight, you can show people the things you’ve learned and just about everyone will be interested.

Ways to Learn How to Fight

Again, there are tons of different classes you can take and any number of different martial arts businesses you can join.

  • Kickboxing is awesome because it’s not super complicated. Most classes will teach you good form, and you’ll practice tons of drills that develop defense-oriented muscle memory.

  • Buy yourself a punching bag and keep it in your home or in the garage. It’s an amazing workout every time, and you’ll get better through practice. Remember to always wear gloves because it isn’t worth it to destroy your hands.

  • Part of learning how to fight well is developing endurance. Untrained people are taxed out in fights within 30 seconds. Successfully defending yourself against one or more attackers is going to take TONS of endurance. Start jogging. Start cycling. Start jumping rope. Start swimming. Circuit train with weights, etc.

  • Learn how to take a punch. Honestly. Have someone seriously deck you in the face if you’ve never been in a fight. Learn what it feels like. Learn not to fear it. Learn how to take it, shrug it off and defend.

Untrained people are taxed out within 30 seconds. Most men have never once tested what their body can actually handle.

How Many Fights Have You Actually Been In?

How many fights have you been in? Most people will say 0, or maybe 2 or 3 tops. Predators know this. Half the key to not getting messed with is being physically trained and prepared. People sense it. Whether they know it or not it comes through in how you carry yourself.

What can you do to start learning how to throw and take a punch? The quickest and cheapest way is to buy a pair of gloves and punching bag. How many classes are there in your area that you could start taking once or twice a week? Get moving!
