Game Theory: What You Need to Know

Game theory is a scientific approach to situations where you apply math and reasoning to make the best of all potential decisions including who you date, where you go, and how you operate.

Game theory, and why it’s important to a highly successful lifestyle, is actually a pretty complex subject. Let’s take a look at the definition you would come across if you consulted Google about it:

“The branch of mathematics concerned with the analysis of strategies for dealing with competitive situations where the outcome of a participant’s choice of action depends critically on the actions of other participants. Game theory has been applied to contexts in war, business, and biology”

It’s a scientific approach to situations where you apply some math and reasoning while looking at the variables within certain constraints. Doing so allows you to make the best of all potential decisions. We’ll look at a simple example, but here are the three often used terms regarding Game Theory.

Game Theory that you should begin to research and get a handle on:

  1. EV – Expected Value

  2. GTO – Game Theory Optimal

  3. Prisoner’s Dilemma

The goal is to operate GTO. This practice will ultimately make you a far smarter, more calculating person in dating and in life.

Deep V-necks: A Practical Example

Game Theory can be applied to just about any decision you make in life, even when it comes to dating. It will help you choose:

  • where to go

  • which girl to invite out

  • what to do

  • which night to go out

  • when to go

  • what to wear

The goal is to operate GTO. This practice will ultimately make you a far smarter, more calculating person. Let’s say you dig through your closet and find a deep V-neck…

Think forward into the future to when you meet a girl and you’re wearing the deep V-neck:

  • If she hates deep v-necks, and many people do, you’re not in good shape with her.

  • If she likes them then you’re in pretty good shape because you’ll likely be the only guy wearing one.

  • If you meet a girl who loves deep v-necks but you’re not wearing one, you’re still in good shape.

  • If you do not wear a deep V-neck, and you meet a girl who hates them, nothing is bad.  You’re neutral.

As you do your research you will come across building EV boxes and it won’t take long for you to be able to construct this on the fly in your head. Once that happens your life is going to change because you will begin to “operate GTO.” Now, in terms of V-necks, the conclusion is that unless you catch wind that the girl you want to meet has a thing for them, it’s best to avoid this fashion blunder. Applied to a first date specifically, this is exactly the framework behind dominating first dates every move is a calculated decision, not a reaction.

Start Here :

Start building EV squares in your mind to find the right decisions. Do some homework and brush up on your Game Theory because it is incredibly powerful, especially when you’re confronted with decisions that involve the decisions of others.

  • You don’t need a mathematics degree to start understand EV.

  • You don’t need a doctorate to develop a GTO mind frame

  • Apply what you learn about the “Prisoner’s Dilemma” to how you operate.
